Great resistance bands for getting started!

If you have ever been interested in getting into resistance training I found some great ones to help you get started.  I received these at a discount for my honest review, but honestly, I think you will like them.

They come in a package with 5 sizes, a carrybag, and some instructions.  The instructions pamphlet also has some exercises for both upper and lower body to help you get started.

Although I wouldn't suggest this set for those who are already doing heavier resistance training as they are on the light side, they would be great for those who are just getting started or can't handle too much weight.

Black Friday Fun!

So I am a little late to the game with this one.  I am pretty much a zombie from spending all week constantly checking every store's websites for BF deals going live.

For those that aren't already aware... you can start checking black friday ads early each year.. some start showing up in early November... by the week before BF they are almost all out.  There are plenty of sites to see them at, my favorite tends to be

http://www.bfads.net/

Not only does it have all the ads, but it is constantly updating the newsfeed to let you know what has gone live, what the best deals are, etc.

Kohls started their online sale Monday morning at 12am... I had tons of problems with their site and my order which resulted in 2 hours on the phone with customer service the next day.  fun fun.  But by combining the deals, the 15% discount, and the $15 in Kohls cash for everything you spend... you can get out with some really great deals.  Still on going so check it out!

The other two major purchases I did online were Old Navy and Sears.

There you go - all my black friday shopping done in one shot and I didnt have to deal with one line or crazy crowd!

Welcome Welcome Welcome!

I've always been a bit of a deal hunter... back in the days before the show Extreme Couponers I had to be one of the experts.  One of my first deals netted me 820 tubes of toothpaste + $615 dollars in store credit... with an out of pocket (oop) cost of less than $5.  And that was just one of hundreds of deals there were to be had.

However, times have changed, and the deals are fewer and not as many are free/money makers.

There are tons of sites you can go to in order to find coupon match ups and store deals... but I wanted to make a place that both had some of the more unique deals, product reviews (some I purchase, some provided free or at a discount).

From time to time I might throw in some information about cool things I know going on around Houston.
